Warehouse Associate
North Branford, CT | Full-Time or Part-Time
Enjoy hands-on work and keeping things in order? Join Country Paint & Hardware as a Warehouse Associate. You’ll help merchandise move safely from delivery to storage to our customers, supporting a neighborhood store that has served North Branford since 1977.
What You’ll Do
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing merchandise carefully.
- Accurately prepare and fulfill customer vehicle pickups and off-site deliveries.
- Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and organized.
- Monitor warehouse tools and equipment and report maintenance needs.
- Help maintain accurate stock levels and orderly shelf presentation.
- Notice opportunities to improve organization and workflow, and share practical suggestions.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach pickers after appropriate training and authorization.
- Assist with seasonal resets, store preparation, and general improvements.
- Work with teammates and help where needed.
What You Bring
- The ability to safely lift and move merchandise weighing up to 100 pounds, using assistance or appropriate equipment as needed.
- A clean driving record and the ability to legally operate delivery vehicles.
- Basic technology skills and a willingness to learn store systems.
- Dependability, punctuality, and follow-through.
- Clear verbal and written communication.
- Attention to detail and care for safe working practices.
- Initiative, teamwork, and a practical approach to solving problems.
Forklift or pallet jack experience is helpful but not required. Training is available.
